PS5X Compatibility List: Xbox Game Evidence

Check PS5X Xbox game evidence, historical Quake II footage, library entries, device differences, and what remains unverified in current builds.

PS5X Compatibility List: Xbox Game Evidence

Evidence checked 20 October 2026. This PS5X compatibility list records what our reviewed Xbox sources actually establish. It is not a certified playable-games list. FreeSimulators has not tested these games, measured FPS, or completed them on Xbox.

The key source is Devran Cosmo Uenal’s 8 September demonstration, checked against the current Xbox project description. A historical demonstration does not validate the same title on the October prereleases.

Xbox game evidence table

GameEvidence we reviewedStatus supported by that evidenceCurrent Xbox release
Quake IIOriginal video, gameplay at about 1:32Historical in-game footage on Series X. No full-playthrough claim.Retest not established; no version-matched FPS result here.
GEX TrilogyEntry in the early demo’s game libraryLibrary entry observed; this alone does not establish playable gameplay.Unverified in the sources reviewed.
Hellboy: Web of WyrdEntry in the early demo’s game libraryLibrary entry observed; no completion or stability result established here.Unverified in the sources reviewed.
Marvel Cosmic InvasionEntry in the early demo’s game libraryLibrary entry observed; no title-specific benchmark established here.Unverified in the sources reviewed.

The library is visible near the start of the video. We deliberately do not assign a “playable” rating to those library entries. The video’s developer description discusses limited compatibility, controller support and sound generally; that does not document the same result for each game and version.

How to read compatibility status

  • Detected: the launcher indexes a game folder or archive.
  • Boots: the game reaches a visible startup screen or menu.
  • In-game: an interactive scene is demonstrated, with remaining issues recorded.
  • Playable in a tested section: a stated build, device and game section sustain usable play.
  • Completed: evidence covers the full game on that configuration.
  • Unverified: the evidence is missing or insufficient; this is not a failure result.

These are this page’s editorial evidence labels. They are not official KytyPS5 ratings. A report should identify which definition it uses before it is added to a table.

Can it run Astro Bot, Demon’s Souls or other PS5 exclusives?

We do not have sufficiently documented, current Xbox tests for those titles in this table. The upstream README’s screenshots and desktop compatibility database describe another environment. They cannot establish Xbox support by themselves, and a game omitted here should not be read as proven incompatible.

The Xbox README specifically separates the port from the following desktop README. Check the platform of a result before trusting a headline, image or frame-rate number.

What about Series S?

The Xbox releases target Series X and Series S, while the historical video above is a Series X demonstration. We have no matched Series S measurements to add. Do not transfer either a Series X or PC benchmark to Series S.

Xbox One models are excluded by the package requirements. That is application support, separate from any individual game’s status.

What a useful new test should include

Record the console model, full emulator tag, game title ID and version, settings, scene or level, duration, controller and audio behavior, and any reproducible failure. Add footage or logs with sensitive paths removed. For a performance comparison, use the same scene and distinguish the first run from later runs.

A defensible report might say “entered the first level for ten minutes on this tag, with these issues.” An isolated library screenshot is insufficient. Our performance guide explains how to collect comparable observations, and troubleshooting helps distinguish an unreadable folder from an emulation failure.

For installation prerequisites, return to the PS5X setup guide. Review new game claims against their exact source and build rather than assuming that a newer emulator tag proves they now work.
